Roughly defined in the 1965 Arlo Guthre folk song "Alice's Restaurant Massacree" as a suggested movement involving "50 people a day walking into the shrink and singing a bar of Alice's Restaurant (in 3-part harmony) and walking out. The song claims this as a way to prove yourself mentally unfit for the draft, after describing his own rejection over an arrest for littering. With the song based around a Thanksgiving dinner, it it a cult favorite at that time of year.

"Massacree" as used by Arlo Guthrie is a series of absurd events. He calls his movement in the song the "Anti-Massacree Movement" because he is protesting the crazy situations in the world that lead to the song.
