A person suffering from Lois Lane Syndrome (LLS) has a diminished ability to recognize people when they are out of a regular or familiar context. People who suffer from the syndrome are not good with faces and might not recognize acquaintances or coworkers if they have changed their hairstyle, are wearing lenses instead of glasses (and vise versa) or are wearing clothes that the sufferer is not used to seeing them in (e.g. out of work uniform).
