A toy and video game company that was in business from 1970 to 1994. The company is best known for its poorly-made license-based video games such as Back to the Future (NES), Friday the 13th (NES), and Who Framed Roger Rabbit (NES). It was owned by MCA's Universal subsidary from 1986 until it was bought by Acclaim Entertainment in 1988.

James Rolfe, better known as the internet celebrity, the Angry Video Game Nerd, has reviewed various LJN games such as the ones listed above, plus five others.
I was going to buy Marvel's X-Men, being a fan of X-Men, but when I saw the rainbow sticker with the word LJN on it, I put it back immediately.

A video game and toy company that used to be in business during 1970 - 1994.
They made a lot of poor quality games, mostly movie licensed once. Their games were of such poor quality that some people avoided the LJN rainbow sticker logo on plain sight.

So nowadays, the word LJN is simply associated with poor quality games and major disappointments in the gaming industry. An epic fail so to speak.
Aww man, too bad they pulled an LJN on Crysis 2.

An "educational game console" which was somehow introduced to the planet known as "Earth" in 1987 by LJN Toys. Since LJN couldn't figure out how to make the console output sound, they decided to make it play white noise the entire time it's switched on. Luckily for the human race, TVs have a volume option. Combined with the over-sensitive controller is the lack of a paint bucket tool (despite the packaging having drawings which are coloured in perfectly) and the inability to even draw a diagonal line. It's surprising that this console even had 8 different games published for it.
Person 1: Do you remember that song from LJN Video Art?
Person 2: Which song?
Person 1: The one that's made up of white noise, obviously!
