In an attempt to replace the "aging" word "based", a word which becomes less exclusive and morw well-known, a 4chan user proposed a new word which appears to have no particular origin. He hopes that the word "keyed" will be used mainstream by the end of 2021.

Keyed is a defined as a word used alternatively to "based", and may refer to a hot take, unpopular opinion, or new, challenging idea.

A direct replacement of the term "based" after the community on 4chan related discord servers was tired of minorities and normies using the word "based", and after finding out the word was originally coined by a black man. Means exactly the same as "based". The opposite of "Keyed" is "Locked"
