Based on the "safety game" in which anyone who farts must say "safety" before someone else says "doorknob", lest the farter be punched by everyone until they can touch a doorknob. "Jeter" replaces "safety", while "Nomar" replaces "doorknob". By extension, "Jeter" is also commonly exclaimed while, or immediately after, defecating.
