The word 'Individual' , when used in the context of describing a person "Im Individual" Is highly oxymoronic.
For someone to be individual (we'll take girls for an example) They break away from the punk/chav/townie etc... background they once had, and don the clothes similar to that of a Scene Fairy, and load their iPod with bands such as Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the disco.
The irony if it is, an 'Individual' is NOT individual, they origonally set out to break away from steryo-types, and be a free person, but they wind up in another group, labelled as an Individual, along with the rest of their 'Individual' Friends that look exactly the same as them.

A word that in recent times has become analogous to the term "enlightenment" in eastern religion in that no one is sure what it is,no one can describe it and no one has ever been reported to have attained it. But everyone seems to know that everyone who claims to have attained it is lying.

A person who feels the need to do the opposite of everyone else just to be cool. They constantly call people who don't try to be individual "sheep". This is quite ironic really, becasue the only reason they decided to become an individual in the first place was because everyone else was.

Over-used term used for self-definition by loners. By claiming that your parent's do not understand, that you hate popular stereotypes et cetera, one will somehow obtain "Individuality". Most "Individuals" are actually just brain-dead townie-haters that really have no place on the social ladder, so join a group similar to them and be about as individual as a lemming.


Real individualism is hard to come by these days, or infact, any day (monday; Tuesday etc.)

American High-schooler idea. Being "Individual" Is all about moronicly blaming the government and jocks for all your troubles. Individuals are weak-willed lemmings as seen in any lame teen movies.


When they are old enough to pay taxes, they will, because they are too weak to say no. Hahahahaha!


Of course, these people are not limited to the USA, but this term probably origianated there.

The belief that a person is more Individual and unique than their friends. Or, the need to be more unique than people around them.

The term "Rotten Individual" is most commonly used to declare that one is an avid fan of jedcest in spite of Kevin Grimes, to refer to jedcestors in general, or to make fun of Kevin Grimes as he has now became the fandom's lolcow.

This term gained notoriety amongst fans of Jedward after Kevin Grimes (the twin's older brother) was sent a link to a livejournal containing jedcest fanfictions written by one of the jedward fans. Kevin Grimes posted angry tweets (eg. "Have a read of this Disgusting vulgarity and then tell me Im wrong ,what is wrong with these people damn") declaring that he "knew the law" and that anyone who posted or liked this type of material was a "rotten individual".
Kevin Grimes later deleted the tweets, but not before followers were able to copy and post them to many the outraged tumblr account.

This incident was the start a series of events involving the photographing of John Grimes holding up a sign reading "I love Rotten Individuals" by the creator of the same livejournal account, then being blocked by the Jedward twins' twitter account, later being publicly shamed on a small scale based on her conflict with Kevin Grimes in front of Jedward and their fans, and by the mysterious but widely unpopular Randers.

This unfolded while a significant number of "Jedheads" watched on via the internet, creating a rift in fandom as quite the few fans are "rotten individuals". There are varying degrees of animosity towards either party within the fandom.
