An incel, or, "involuntarily celibate", is an individual (often male) who believes that society is conspiring against them to prevent them from having sex. However, the mainstream media would have you believe that this includes anyone that challenges backwards social norms or is open about their loneliness.

A member of an online community that is excessively bitter toward the fact that women are not attracted to them, in turn making them insufferable to be around. The term "Incel" is often misused to shame men who simply have no luck with women. Once a man realises that women are not attracted to him, there are three main philosophical paths to take:

A man who is involuntarily celibate. He will always believe that he can’t get laid because he’s not ‘attractive’ to women, when the real reason is that he has a terrible personality and acts like women owe him something for being a ‘nice guy’.
His resentment towards women is both dangerous and extreme. Sometimes this unwarranted vitriol for women and self-entitlement becomes so strong that it leads to terrorism.

A person who consciously desires to have sexual intercourse but is incapable of getting it for a variety of reasons that may or may not fall within his/her reasonable locus of control. Despite being widely used by holders and haters alike, this is a term that doesn't describe the full extent of the issues that self-identified "incels" struggle with. Most self-identified male incels reference the existence of a "black pill" (genetic determinism), which is more related to the reasoning, behind a sexually fulfilling life for males, being factors outside their reasonable locus of control (e.g. height, bone structure, race, dick size, etc.). This flies in contrast with ideological frameworks like the "blue pill" (complete and total blissful ignorance) and the "red pill" (behavioral determinism).
Despite what many haters or "anti-incels" may say, incel (condition) does not necessarily equal the black pill (ideological framework). As such, many "anti-incels" or "former incels" may be incels themselves, especially if they're male. These people are usually referred to as "incels-in-denial".

A person who claims they either are involuntarily celibate by their inability to gain a relationship or are being excluded from one. The 99% of these people are idiots who blame everything from women society,other men, the media, or anything except for themselves for the fact that they cannot get into a sexual relationship.
