It is also used by salty kids or if someone happens to disagree with you and frame it with "imagine." This phrase is commonly used amongst zoomers for the most part.

A type of fanfiction where the reader is included in the story as the protagonist. Often times uses 'y/n' (for 'your name') to represent the reader's name. Popularized on Tumblr with stories about One Direction.
