A bowl that is used at parties usually filled with crisps or other nibbles. Usually accompanied by other small bowls called "mini hosting bowls"
"Omg Hannah, did you SEE the hosting bowl at Chiedza's Christmas party last year? That girl knows how to host. Peace and blessings upon her and her bowls."

When the host of an online console game quits the game early because the game's developers attempted to remove host advantage and unintentionally nerfed the host ability to stay alive unless they camp. Most notably in the Call of Duty franchise.
"Early Host Rage Quit" = when a host quits and the new host selected then quits when they see that they have been chosen as new host, before play resumes.

Host Rage Quit - "I get so frustrated when I'm host on Black Ops 2, because I keep getting killed seemingly from nowhere, until I see the kill cam and the other player is right in front of me. Damn developer induced lag!! This is crap, I quit!!"

The computer file hosts is an operating system file that maps hostnames to IP addresses. It is a plain text file. Originally a file named HOSTS.TXT was manually maintained and made available via file sharing by Stanford Research Institute for the ARPANET membership, containing the hostnames and address of hosts as contributed for inclusion by member organizations. The Domain Name System, first described in 1983 and implemented in 1984,1 automated the publication process and provided instantaneous and dynamic hostname resolution in the rapidly growing network. In modern operating systems, the hosts file remains an alternative name resolution mechanism, configurable often as part of facilities such as the Name Service Switch as either the primary method or as a fallback method.

Similar to helpy-helpington-ism. Tendency to offer unsolicited help to attendees of a Zoom session, even when logged in purely as a participant.
Unable to repress his co-host-dependency, he directed participants and answered questions as they entered the videochat, forcing the actual hosts and co-hosts to clarify and redirect. Zoomified, he muted his mic and turned off his camera.

To say that one is going to throw a big party in order to receive positive attention from ones peers, before canceling the event last minute. Often followed by a large backlash from the disappointed would-be party goers.
Chad 1: "Dude, are you going to Eugene's party this Friday? I heard it's gonna be insane!"
Chad 2: "Eugene? This is like the 5th time he says he's going to throw a party, I guarantee he's pulling yet another Abra Host"
Chad 1: "Wow, really? What a douche."
