A genre – for film, books, comics, etc. – in which the main feature is the graphically depicted destruction or degeneration of a human body or bodies. This usually involves one or more of the following; aliens, bloating, blood, bones, fungi, humiliation, involuntary transformation, parasites, puss, screaming, sex, torture and xenogenesis . It is not for the faint of heart of weak of stomach.
The movie Alien is an example of body horror. So are most of the movies from Cronenberg. And early books from Clive Barker. Honey BooBoo might also count.

Harmony&Horror is an online horror series created on Youtube by Battington. The series features haunted toys and murder, similar to the famous horror series, Five Nights at Freddy's. In fact, the creator took inspiration from SquimpusMcGrimpus' online series revolving around the game. The series started on Dec. 21st, 2019., with the first video being called: "Ice Cream Man | VHS cleaning maintenance guide | lost tape."

The tendency to continue laughing in the face of the destruction of democracy and life we know and love.
As we watch Trump destroy democracy, facts, the climate, education, etc, we should be cowering in fear or up in arms, instead we can't resist jokes and horror-giggles at his clownish antics, despite the real danger to all.
