A symbol created by Ville Valo of the band HIM. the Heartagram is a cross between a heart and an inverted pentagram.

A popular misconception is that Pro Skater and TV personality Bam Margera Stole the heartagram from HIM, when in fact, Valo Gave Margera permission to use it, as they are close personal friends.

Another popular misconception is that the heartagram is satanic. Which is untrue. As Valo describes: "it's the ying yang symbol for the 21st century. It balances love which is represented by the heart, and evil which is represented by the pentagram."

the heartagram is the sign of the great band HIM, the design itself came from ville playing round with the logo of an independent hospital chain in finland, the thing ended out as a penta-hearta thang and then it was tweaked a bit to make the heartagram, although it wasnt until later in the bands life that it was realised that there needed to be a circle round it like with a pentagram

A band that has almost all of their songs about love then the distruction, hate, and all around problems that come with it. This band is HIM a great band and it has created representation of this with a heartagram.
