Guilford is literally the gem of the CT shoreline. Its's small and "quaint," which unfortunately attracts thousands of tourists during the summer (something the locals do NOT enjoy). It's populated by beautiful and, for the most part, wealthy families who have trickled down from the major cities, like New York, to live a life of luxury on the ocean.

The offspring may be a bit spoiled, due to their sheltered and privledged lifestyles, but are no doubt one of the most attractive in all of CT. The guys maintain their families' legacies by possessing the perfect mix of clean-cut, preppy stoner with a dash of rugged surfer style. They drive cars purchased for them on their 16th birthdays and are quiet the charmers when they are set off into the real world. Guilford boys know how to party, deal drugs, but still please any group of superiors and succeed in any situation. Guilford girls are lucky enough to have their daddy's money and their mother's good looks. Though some may call them snobbish or high maintenance, these girls know how to charm any guy. Their intelligence, wit and naturally attained good looks are hard for any non-Guilford resident to turn down.

Guilford also produces some of the most talented young musicians on the entire shoreline. With a fabulous music program in the high school, these artists are quick to gain fame and a solid fan base from other Guilford residents. No wonder the world so easily falls for Guilford.

A suburban coastal town in Connecticut that is known for its picturesque Green, impressive academics, and competitiveness in athletics. The town is divided by North Guilford, which is more rural, and the downtown area, which holds most of the houses, stores, and attractions.

The new Guilford High School finished construction in 2016, and since then the academics and extracurricular activities have improved. The school boasts AP classes and IB programs and has a successful music and theater arts department. The Voices choir puts on the best concerts and the theater arts department consistently wins awards including "production of the year" on numerous occasions. As far as sports go, Guilford excels in all sports but particularly fencing, girls soccer, field hockey, volleyball, cross country/track, and crew, and boys hockey, soccer, basketball, and cross country/track. It is not the most diverse community, being predominantly white, but is making efforts to change this.

Despite appearances of wealth, it is not totally snobby. Mixed in with the brand new Jeeps, Audis, and Mercedes in the high school parking lot you can still find some Honda Civics or mom's-old-Subarus. You're not from Guilford if you don't take pictures at Bishop's in the fall, boat to the red house on the water, spend all weekend at the Guilford Fair, have a favorite of the coffee shops on the green, or find yourself hanging out at the docks or Walmart at night.
