Named for the 60s sitcom "Gilligan's Island." On the show, there are two female characters. Ginger Grant, a Hollywood bombshell, and Mary Ann, an "ingénue." There were lots of debates over who was more attractive, and eventually, "Ginger or Mary Ann?" became a question asking someone whether they prefer a glamorous type of woman or a down-to-earth innocent type.
