Ghostern
(1) A phrase describing a person working for a company or non profit organization in an EBL (Experience Based Learning), or SBL ( Service Based Learning) capacity that is not allowed to have an official title, or allowed to actually do much work of significance to enhance said experiences –
that is placed in said company or non profit organization by a separate company as part of an educational program designed for the purpose of re-training displaced employee’s changing or enhancing their career path.
(2) An unofficial intern with no given actual title, working for a company or non profit organization with very little work to do so they usually only do their homework in the workplace, or are assigned “busy” work of no real relevance to said experience
