bullshit marketing scheme that suburban middle-school fags think is real

in reality, gangsta rappers either talk about
a) activity that gang members often do but doesn't require being a gang member to do
b) being a member of a gang, when it's obvious that if they actually did anything or were anybody of any importance in a gang, they would actually be in jail
c) complete bullshit to sell records

basically, rappers are so much more rapper tahn gangster, it doesn't matter
There is no such thing as gangsta rap.

An oxymoron. The #1 rule of being a gangsta is to keep you law breakings quite, but #1 rule of being a rapper is to tell everyone about what you did.
Gangsta 1: Im such a gangsta rapper! I just shot that dude and now I'm gonna tell the whole world.

Gangsta 2: You are a dumb mother fucker.

White man's favorite type of music because its the sound of an entire race of people losing all self respect they ever had.

A genre of rap that sells out and stereotypes an entire race of people, and rap in general. White people like it because it "raps" about gangs, sex, and drugs, something that middle class America doesn't experience in general. Also, because of gangsta rap, other less violent-tone versions of rap are underappriciated and stereotyped.
Non-White Person: Why you so happy about 50 Cent's new "hit"?

White Guy (Bobbin his head): 'Cause gangsta rap is the sound of MAlcom X and MLR Jr. rolling in their graves!! Biatch!!!

Gangsta rap is the worst kind of rap. It condones violence, drugs, sex, and often talks about being pimp and getting hoes. It's causing the deterioration of our society, and is frowned upon by many except for the impressionable kids who will listen to any garbage on the rap radio stations.
The most hilarious and ironic part is that the gangsta rappers are neither gangsta nor rappers, and are watching their music videos on MTV while sitting on a huge couch looking at a 60" plasma T.V.
cRap Lover: Yo man fo shizzle did ya'll hear dat new song by Fiddy Cent? He be like "Yo man I be selling crack on da streetz".

A genre a music that glorifies murder, drug use, robbery, abuse of women, and gang life, to name a few things. Not to mention, rappers cannot sing. Their voices make Jesus cry. The fact that people who listen to this genre have been proven to be more violent and more likely to use drugs, and all these worthless rappers haven't been dragged to the edge of a cliff and thrown off is beyond me. Urban black youth don't have any other role models other than these stupid fucks to look up to. And you wonder why the black youth today are in such a shitty state. If you want proof of why this genre is horrid, read any of the definitions in favor of it. "YEA SUN MEH N' MUH NIGGAZ B LISNIN 2 DIZ SHIZ WEN WE GO KILLN N GANGBANGN N SHIZZ IT B OFF DA HOOK SON." Worthless.
50 Cent, an "artist" of the gangsta rap genre, got shot 9 times. Too bad none of them were fatal.

Gangsta rap is the outcome of white corporations taking over a type of music in order to make money by commercialize sex, violence, and misogyny as a thing that only "black" or Hispanics do while caucasian people do the same exact things.

This new genre derived from hip hop and rap in the late 80's and 90's. At first, rap was made for minorities to express their difficulties of a hypocritical society. They used rap as away to increase attention on the sufferings that minorities faced everyday but as rap became more and more famous corporations began to take over rap slowly and instead of rapping about "Adidas" and on how the streets of the city are driving minorities 'to the edge" rap soon began a way to show how African-Americans are "thugs" that are violent, sexist, and constant drug users when in reality they are just people like everyone else.
Gangsta rap is racist. Why do they even play that on the radio?

Forget gangsta rap, I only listen to old school rap and underground rap.
