GSA: Stands for Gay-Straight Alliance. A curricular program common in high-schools and secondary schools. Liberates gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders, etc. and denounces the discrimination and injustice of them.

Noun: a friend who is usually only called upon by a friend when a more primary/prominent friend is unavailable.

Taken from the term “second string” in an athletic competition situation. In football, if the star quarterback gets injured during a play, the second string is called off the bench to replace him/her. A “Second String Friend” is essentially benched until needed, if ever.

It focuses on issues faced by LGBTQ+ students and people and looks for more accepting environments and rights to be had by LGBTQ+ people. They also often aim to educate straight or cisgender people in the school/community about LGBTQ+ people and rights. Often full of nice people who love to be with friends and others and will accept you no matter who you love. A great, gay family. :D
