A small, coastal town on the south shore of Massachusetts. Duxbury residents tend to be upper-class to middle class but some residents are lower class. Duxbury High School strives in theater, literature, and sports. Lacrosse is a town favorite. Opposed to popular belief, most Duxbury residents are not "snobs". Duxbury residents do not think they are richer than other towns. All south shore towns create the same basic income. Therefore no adjacent towns (Duxbury included) should not think they are richer. Joe Perry (guitarist for Aerosmith) and Billy Curly (professional basketball player) are residents of Duxbury. Duxbury, despite popular belief, has a lower DUI rate compared to adjacent towns.

The two states of being are as a human being, or a hungry ghost. Semi-regularly you need to ask yourself which you are. Sometimes it is human. Others, alas, it is hungry ghost.

The hungry ghost seeks validity outside of themselves. Someone pining for an indifferent ex is a hungry ghost. Someone who arrives alone at 6:30 on Saturday night to a pub is probably a hungry ghost. Obsessive checking of mobile phones, chat sites or networks are clear signs that one is a hungry ghost.

The best thing to do is just stay home and ride it out. Read a book. Find some good clean fun.

You can clearly see by all these insulting definitions that many people wish they lived in Duxbury. People only hate us because they're jealous. For the size town that we are were have the best sports, school, beaches, money, and hott biddies around. It's normal to be targeted when your on top of the social and economical chain. Duxbury is a town known for being extremely wealthy and extremely snobby. Here the kids get drunk with the booze their parents bought them smoke the weed their parents bought them and live in a world of their own. If youre not in a group youre nobody yet everyone is a prick to the people outside of their own groups. The popular girls fuck more guys then a pornstar (even though most of them are ugly as shit) yet theyre not sluts they just like to party but if somebody "unpopular" sleeps with someone theyre a slut. Parents put out as much as the teens which is fucked, but its deluxbury so its ok. EVERYONE does drugs. parents, teachers, kids, everyone. with all the money they make and nothing to do they have to spend it somehow and when they get caught mommy and daddy call in a favor to someone from college and everythings fine. People here have no idea what reality is like. Over privileged, spoiled kids rule the town, and if youre not one of them well who gives a shit.

A beautiful small coastal community situation about 40 miles south of Boston and 30 miles north of Cape Cod. Famously known for its historic colonial houses, the Standish Monument, and the Powderpoint Bridge. A modestly populated town, filled with young entrepreneurs that mostly work as lawyers or businessmen in or around Boston. Naively, the town thinks they are the richest town on the south shore, but our outdone by the likes of Hingham, Cohasset, and Norwell. However, the parents of the town raise their children to be pompous assholes that think they are better than everyone else. This results in many DUIs for some of the town's more "famous" young men and women. Reality hopefully sets in in college where Duxbury kids are shat upon for their pompous, arrogant, and ignorant ways.
