door-date

noun; when you hold the door for someone you are attracted to, who's going to the same place as you, they become your door-date. Often done as someone you are attracted to is entering a party so one does not appear to have come alone.

Bret held the door for his co-worker, Sophie.

"Yo, Bret, you come here with Sophie?"
"Yeah, I did the old door-date."
