The fictional device that the Russians had in Dr. Strangelove that would automatically set off if the USA ever attacked the Soviet Union. It's detination would destroy the entire world. The reasoning was that it was a whole lot cheaper to make it and threaten the world then try to keep up in Arms Race, Space Race and Peace Race against the USA.

Doomsday Device, often shortened to Device, is a term used in professional wrestling to reference a tandem move in which one wrestler hoists the opponent on their shoulders so that they are facing in the same direction in what is known as the electric chair position, while another wrestler climbs the ring post to the top turnbuckle and delivers a flying attack on that prone opponent.
The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) execute the Doomsday Device on their opponents and win the match.
