They claimed that he left the band on amicable terms. However, it was later revealed that they fired him without warning. On top of that, they screwed him out of getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside the rest of Pearl Jam, thus proving them to be the biggest douches in all of rock.
