A term used for a Sith Lord in the Star Wars Saga. When one becomes an apprentice of the Sith, he abandones his original name and takes a Sith name. The title Darth precedes the new name.

Not a very nice person. The deadbeat father of Luke and Leia Skywalker. He also emotionally and physically abused his wife, Padme. So all in all, Darth Vader aka Anakin Skywalker was not a very nice man.
