Crankertainment (redefined): A form of staged conversations either in real life or on internet-based posting sites (message boards/forums, social networks/social media, chat rooms, Discord or other servers, etc) that utilizes kayfabe as a form of entertainment for the benefit of website visitors or for visitors of a locale in real-life events.

Kayfabe in this sense is the sudden staging of a conversation that is presented as genuine, and are either out of the blue, conversations between friends or co-performers as amateurs, or are paid performers hired by a venue to suddenly engage in staged conversations to entertain guests, of which the performers paid to engage in Crankertainment are called Crankertainers. The use of the word kayfabe means only the Crankertainers know what parts of the conversations are real or only the Crankertainers know when they will be staged

These events can seem odd, and maybe even loud. But something always piques the audience's interesr. Conversations can be subtle, yet interesting enough for people to eaves drop, from a dramatic situation of love & heartache, or a flat out heated argument, or a kiss-and-make up scene.

Amateur Crankertainment is ill-advised and should only be done by paid and properly trained Professional Crankertainers, as staged events can go wrong and result in arrests, such as for disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, and other publicity stunts that already go wrong!
