Located in the northeast part of the state on Lake Michigan, Chicago is Illinois' largest city and the largest city in the American midwest. Plagued by government corruption, high taxes, unaffordable cost of living, violence and crime Chicago also suffers from a superiority complex by believing it owns all the land and cities therein around the southern 1/3 of Lake Michigan, which of course it does not.

I dunno who thinks Chicago is pronounced the way it is here , but they obviously aren't from the City in a Garden. Yeah, many people pronounce it "Chi-cah-go," now. But if you are a white ethnic of a certain age or neighborhood the correct way to say it is "Chi-caw-go." Watch old movies from the 30s and 40s and you'll see that was the way it was spoken. I blame the New York based radio and TV media convincing the world that it is "Chi-cah-go." If you wanna talk like a real neighborhood Chicawgoan make an "s" sound at the end of plurals, don't use the "z" sound.

Passing around a full beer or other drink amongst a group of friends until the drink is finished. Useful for finishing a beer when rushing to get somewhere.

A town known for the views lakes and sky scrapers biggest city in Illinois also known for having a lot of gangs and gun violence and a lot of murders. It's home to the Chicago Cubs the White Soxs and the Chicago Bears

the best damn place in the world. the rest of the midwest is jealous because we're the only world recognized city in it. america's city and no others can compete. new york is cool but not chicago

Chicago. Home of my heart. Misdefined by many on this site. Home of Buddy Guy and his own venue. Best pizza and hot dog in usa. Mickey's on Manheim is the best fry and dog combo. Deep dish is amazing but a whole nother beast. Traditional pizza is better than any I had in New york. I've been to a majority of americas big cities and chicago has blown all others out of the water. I didn't feel the pride in new york, houston, miami, san diego, auston, new orleans, milwaukee, ect, that I felt walking the steets of chicago. Only city to carry on lallapallooza. Largest free music fest. Blues fest that is. Bring beer, a grill, food, and listen to blues greats in grant park surrounded by the most beautiful skyline, for free! And nothing beets the railsystem. You can get from any greater chicago suburb to anywhere in the city easy and cheap. And if your smart like most people there are, pretty much anywhere you go is safe. And lovely.
