A person who isn't perticularly good at video games, so they just mash random buttons on the controler, hoping that they do something right. A tactic that works best in fighting games.

Your little brother who doesn't know how to play so he mashes buttons.

A person who "Button Mashes" or, during a video game, presses random buttons which may (or may not) be successful.

A game that can be won easily by repatedly tapping random buttons. i.e. Devil May Cry 3, Tekken, Super Smash Bros.
