A joke played on an online game (usually X-Box Live or PSN) in which the host, who has the ability to kick players from the game tricks a player into saying the word "Boot" or "Kick". The host will then kick that player as soon as he says it.
Host: Hey you know the cat from Shrek?
Victim: Yea
Host: Whats his name?
Victim: Puss in Boots? *KICKED*
