a negative connotation for when someone is only motivated to do things without consulting / considering others involved. Derived from the phrase "<name/he/she> marches to the beat of his/her own drum." Not intended for rebels who oppose conformity, but for selfish individuals who disregard others because they believe it to be irrelevant to their personal cause.
She's so rude, clearly beatdrumming because won't return my calls unless I agree to her demands. I loathe beatdrummers.
