A term used by uneducated devout theists to call a bunch of evil atheists because it just sounds so much evil-er. In a twist of cruel irony, the term has been more frequently used by atheists to make fun of the said devout bunch of anti-intellectuals or to have a laugh at their expense by testing Poe's law.
