The barbarian of names, literally! Originally a viking name, it comes from the two Norse words "Arn", meaning eagle, and "Thor", the god of thunder. Thus, it translates to the Eagle of Thor or Thor's Eagle.
Person 1: "hi, what's your name?"
Person 2: "Hello, I'm Andor"
Person 3, a British man overhearing the conversation: "Run! Hide your children! The Vikings are coming, and they brought the Norse gods!"

1. A Non-binary individual's replacement for sir/ma'am/madam. As Non-binary people identify as either male AND female OR neither gender.
2. A cheeky re-appropriation of the Phrase "Sir and/or Madam" (Sir, andor, madam) to quickly and efficiently ascertain a person's pronouns. If they chose andor then they/them is most likely assumed.
3. A polite form of address salespeople can use as a general address to customers to avoid randomly mis-gendering people by not assuming their preferred gender.
