A play on the term "alt-right", the "alt-lite" encompasses conservatives and conservative media outlets which have jumped on the bandwagon of the alt-right by exploiting the growing market for "edgy" material. They will claim to identify with the alt-right or publish articles that align with the alt-right narrative in order to profit off of this growing demographic.

A term used to distinguish secret covert racists and misogynists, from the more overt racists and misogynists who are proud to be alt-right. All content is accessed and normalized in the same spaces together, and serves as a pipeline to fascist white-supremacist, oppressive, discriminatory, violent rhetoric.
If your social media feed has memes mocking the death of George Floyd, feminazis getting owned by facts and logic, and calls men who fight for civil rights soyboys, you might claim you’re just alt-lite, but that’s just self-denial that you’ve gone full blown nazi. Get out while you still can.
