A youtube series parodying original TV series (usually anime) by taking clips from the show and dubbing them to make fun of the characters, plot, and over all the entire show.

Naruto Abridged is a very funny series on Youtube created by MasakoX and Vegeta3986. Obviously it is a spoof of the series Naruto by Viz Media.

The abridged version (noun): is a lie.

A brilliant parody of the 90’s anime Sailor Moon, in which the SMA crew (megami33, krisrix, roll002, maxskate2001, whipofalchemy, and judgement915) uses their own brand of humor to tell the story of Sailor Moon with only minor changes to the storyline. Some fan favorites include: bulimic Serena/Sailor Moon, EMO Raye/Sailor Mars, incoherent Amy/Sailor Mercury, transsexual Lita/Sailor Jupiter, and Zoycite… the gender-confused alien.

The SMA crew has gained in popularity as they continue to put out more episodes, and they have even begun releasing merchandise for rabid fans. From bored college students to amazingly hilarious voice actors, the SMA crew has earned their place in YouTube history.

A parody of the episodes of Star Trek (the original series) on Youtube, in which each episode is crudely dubbed over, yet still faithful to the storyline and shortened to 5 minutes or under. Similar to more popular yugioh abridged series and Sailor Moon Abridged series, but caters more towards stoners and trekkies (and especially trekkie stoners).
