(adv.) Acronym for "Another Week Of Reruns." The term basically means the same thing as the word "rerun," making it a pointless abbreviation since only one letter is saved. The word was coined in 2000 by Zach Horan, a regular poster in the alt.tv.game-shows newsgroup.
Note: It is generally supposed to be used as an adverb, as in "'The Price Is Right' went AWOR." However, it has been incorrectly used as a noun that is synonymous with "rerun," as in "CBS replaced the AWORs of 'The Price Is Right' with new episodes."
