The week before opening night of a play, musical, etc. It's sometimes named Hell Week, or Death Week, and rightfully so, as every night for a week(7 days, not a school week) actors, crew, etc have to stay late and practice until the usually sadistic director is satisfied. The pain and suffering brings everyone in the theatre program closer, though, because we're all internally screaming together.
Side effects of Tech Week include the following:
•loss of social life
•los of freetime
•loss of soul
•that one spot on your lower back that hurts like hell
•hypersomnia(sleeping too much)
•insomnia
•death
•insanity
•psycopathy
•stress
•eating too little
•never not being able to cry
