A slang term used to identify the San Gabriel Valley area of California. It is derived from it's telephone area code after the split from area code 818 in 1997.

Most of these cities are densely populated with those of Chicano, Mexican or Chinese descent. Nearby freeways are always packed with cars, and so are the streets. The 626 is known for the restaurants, shopping, cafes, and anything that involves the spending of income.

Area code of the San Gabriel Valley east of Los Angeles. Collection of diverse suburbs, people of all classes and races live there. Today, the majority of people living in the 626 are Hispanic and Asian. Whites are also a significant percent of the population, they used to be much larger in numbers before white flight took hold in the 80s. The Black population is strikingly low compared to other areas of Los Angeles. The majority of the 626 is considered middle to working class. Although, many wealthy and poor neighborhoods exist. Once staunchly Republican, this area has become increasingly Democratic as Hispanics and Asians shifted their alligances to the Democratic party in reseponse to perscieved racism from the California GOP to Hispanics and inaction by establishment to Asian concerns following the 1992 Los Angeles riots.

An area Of The San Gabriel Valley, South Pasadena, Pasadena, La Puente, etc.. Most parts of the 626 are pretty dope to be around, a lot of the area is Hispanic with a decresing number of whites. The 626 has it's hard parts but it also has nice neighborhoods. Generally, a pretty great area.

Named after the legendary doorm room at Kent State University in Ohio, this term is deemed "smoke two" corresponding to the ever popular "4:20" (four-twenty) time to blaze.

Room 626 of Wright Hall was well known for its abundance of marijuana, as well as its inevitable smoking environment. Many students of Kent State would randomly drop by for a smoke. Above all, room 626 is most well remembered as a place to party. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. Towards the end of the first semester, KSU security, and Kent Police Department began to make frequent stops at the room. A total of three marijuana busts took place at this location.

Conveniently enough, 6:26 is aproximately two hours after 4:20. Another perfect time to blaze!
