This means that someone is either making a wish and telling all their friends or that they are thinking about you or crushing on you if they send you 11:11 with a black screen background. This term is more commonly used on Snapchat to signify making a wish.

If you look at a clock at exactly 11:11, and have not checked the time since before 11:00, then you can make a wish. Once your wish is made, look away from the clock immediately. Your wish will not come true if you see the time change to 11:12. The next time you look at a clock it should read 11:13. If you miss 11:13, your wish will not come true.

A retarded number that people think has some sort of meaning all the time. They say it's crazy that they happen to look and see 11:11 on the clock all the time. But human beings look at clocks, on average, around every five minutes, so you could pick any time, like say, 9:43, and happen to, AMAZINGLY, see it everyday too. Don't think you're special because you see 11:11 all the time. You're just the same decaying organic matter as everyone else.
