holla back girl

"holla back girl" goes waaaaaaaay beyond simply not being a doormat. As noted elsewhere, at it's simplest, a "holla back girl" is one who waits for the lead cheerleader to holler, before she hollers back. In Stefani's song, she's responding to someone who said some shit about her, and she's saying teling that person that she's not the type to simply holler some shit back. Instead, she's gonna deliver an asskickin' to the shit-talker. Thus, in the context that Stefani uses the term, a "holla back girl" is someone who's nothin' but talk.

An holla back girl's response to being insulted:
Girl 1: You're a bitch.
HB Girl: No, you're a bitch. And you're fat and ugly too!

A NON-HB Girl's response to the same insult:
Girl 1: You're a bitch.
NHB Girl punches Girl 1 in the face, making further commentary entirely unecessary.

generally referred to girls who live in co-ed residences at Dalhousie university, originally from Toronto. Their style includes: the LuLu Lemon pants with Uggs, 'looks like i just woke up' hair (but really worked on it all morning), clip directly on the top of the head, layers pulled over the gluteus maximus, parka jackets, louis vuitton purses (fake), and any other designer, in-fashion accessories. they suck.

jess: 'why do they come to shirreff and eat salad?'

Girls Night Out

A gathering of sorts whereby girls will head out for a 'big night on the town' absent of of any testosterone fueled men. Seemingly a time for females to let their inner 'guuurl' out and go wild among other equally lonely individuals, it serves actually as a disguise for the fact that none of the participants are capable of picking up guys.

Girl 1: "Feeling a bit down in the dumps, Beautiful (I can't get any)"

Girl 2: "Me too (I also can't get any), we should have a Girls Night Out and go crazy, woooo!"

Girl 1: "Oh my god yes! We should go out and let loose (wallow in self pity), just us girlies!!! MENTALL IDEA!!!"

Girl 2: "Amazing! We should call Casandra too, she just got dumped by her boyfriend who told her he only went out with her because he lost a bet. This will TOTALLY cheer her up!"

Girl 1: "Oh totally!"
