pulling a sledmere

The act of buying out a full Van Cleef & Arpels boutique, then returning home and getting your partner to strip naked and wear every single piece of jewelry for you to just look at and admire them.
Stems from an act in the early 1900s by members of the Sykes family whilst on a honeymoon who lived at Sledmere estate (located in North Yorkshire, England) at the time.
Tom: “I’m finally going on a honeymoon with my wife!”
Maxwell: “Are you gonna be pulling a sledmere while you’re away?”
Tom: “Hell no, I’m broke and there isn’t even a Van Cleef boutique in Benidorm mate”

Pulling A Wesker

A term used when writers bring back characters, especially villains, who have already died. The term is named after the character Albert Wesker, who died in Resident Evil, but return in Resident Evil: Code Veronica. If the dead character returns in a prequel, it doesn't count as Pulling A Wesker as the story takes place before their death and therefore they should still be around. To Pull A Wesker, a dead character must return in a sequel after being dead. This is usually done as fan service or as a surprise plot twist.
