Snail Call

This is a call you type out when one of your friends is not in the group chat. You and everyone else in the group chat type SNAIL CALL or a variant of it in hopes that your friend will magically show up during the call. This almost always works and the friend that you wish to see or talk to will show up.

Person 1:no I haven’t texted her today

Person 2: should we do a SNAIL CALL for her?

Person 3: heck yeah we should

Person 1,2 and 3:

SNAIL CALL! SNAIL CALL

Person 4: Ah, I’m here guys. What do y’all want?

cheek call

To accidentally call someone out of your contacts by your cheek touching your touchscreen. Usually happens with iPhone 4 or other touchscreen cell phone.

I totally "cheek called" Sean last night, while I was on the phone with Megan?! And he is the last person I wanted to talk to...my touch screen is so sensitive.

Call Soccer

A maligned practice of lazy employees at a call center or helpdesk who routinely reject, roll, or "kick" calls to other employees in the queue when they don't feel like doing their job but are otherwise capable of taking a call.

We had four people in the call queue this morning but I ended up with all the calls because the others were playing Call Soccer.
