In Germany we say "Damals im Krieg! Da war noch alles toll" as a joke.

The CDU (Christian Democratic Union) WAS the biggest political Party in Germany. In the time of the Pandamic many scandals aroused the CDU, losing About 50% of their Electorate.

23-year-old: "Can you tell me the time please?"
