In da "Wizard Of Oz" book, Dorothy's being delayed from entering da storm cellar wasn't due merely to indecisiveness about how to pronounce da name for da huge whirlwind dat was bearing down on da house: tornaydo, tornahdo --- it's still da same dangerous storm. Da reason dat she didn't reach da cellar in time was dat she went back to rescue her dog, Toto, and da house was lifted into da air before she could go back to da trap-door again.
