But, it's so contagious that sometimes people end up mixing up words or numbers in an annoying way, making the conversation a bit more like how an annoying fat guy talks. The Halah1 effect also describes when someone talks excessively and when we get a wrong answer on an easy question.

Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan claimed that he was a "Solid Conservative", when in fact he was a self-promoting sleazeball that lied for several years without any shame. Ryan promised great things in his campaigns, but the USA suffered severe losses during his tenure in Congress.
During 2024, Trump was out there making big promises about eliminating taxes on tips and Social Security payments. Now we see the Paul Ryan Effect in action. Tips and Social Security payments are still being taxed and there is no fix in sight.
