shoes on a wire

Footwear hanging from an overhead wire by the laces. The laces of the shoes are tied together, then lobbed up to the wire(s) so that the shoes hang and dangle. Supposedly signals a location where drugs can be purchased; also symbolizes pointlessness i.e. there is no good reason for the object (shoes) being there. Can be found near schools, and in poor areas and tourist locations.

Shoe fart

Victims include anyone wearing sandals with sweaty feet. The act of making a "farting" sound created by movement of the foot off the side of the shoe usually while walking.

"Samuel was walking to the train station on a hot summer day wearing sandals and no socks. His foot slipped inside of his shoe, making a farting sound. Everyone pointed and laughed at him."

Shoe Balls

Shoe Balls are similar to blue balls. One gets shoe balls by shopping for amazing shoes but not actually making a purchase. The shoe balls condition can be compounded by trying on shoes in the store, thus realizing how much pleasure the shoes can bring you if you were to buy them, but ultimately not bringing any shoes home due to time or budget constraints. The shoes act as a major tease and can actually leave an aching in one's heart and soul, and potentially even one's crotch (depending on the severity of the shoe addiction and the price/sexiness of the shoes).

Lindsay visited the Stuart Weitzman shoe store on Fifth Avenue, then went to the shoe floor at Saks, but didn't purchase anything. She left with a major case of shoe balls.
