Lover Friend

A Lover Friend is usually the one who’s in love with the Quiet Friend of their group. Secretly, the quiet friends likes them back but are too shy to admit. They are faded to failure unless the Lover Friend ignores his shyness and ask the Quiet Friend to date them.

“Oh no! Does he know the Quiet Friend likes him too?”
“Yep! But he’s also a pussy!”

Friend Zone

Term used by the sexually frustrated to describe when their friend rejects their sexual or romantic advances, thereby leaving them with friendship and nothing "more". Also known as friendship, with the added awkwardness of you wanting to have sex with them and them not wanting to have sex with you.

Note: when used with a negative connotation, this can make you seem like a jerk who is only interested in your friend for sex; use with caution if you wish to salvage said friendship.

"Ugh, I asked Cindy if she wanted to hook up, but she totally friend zoned me."
"Okay, but you're still friends, right?"
"Yeah, I'll just have to stop picturing her naked."

A single person that pretends to be friends with you only to maintain a friendship with your partner. Often causing relationship problems of doubt and mistrust.

She acts like she's my friend too, but she's a fake friend, always texting my husband trying to make plans that don't include me.
