affix. (Australian slang) Directional particle affixed to the end of a proper noun (in relation to a person, named place, etc.) or standard noun (in relation to a more general, unnamed area), typically with a hyphen, to indicate a location, destination or direction. In the case where the preceding noun is a specific person, it refers to their general direction or place of residence. Should not follow nouns that refer to an inanimate object that does not relate to location.
