drama-rock

Back in the late eighties we had glam-rock. The music was characterized by its over-the-top "glamor" aspect despite the fact that the majority of bands under this heading were fronted by men. Full circle we have come, and now we have drama-rock, a music form that has a similar aspect to glam rock except its full of melodramtic lyrics about some sort of imagined pain-- usually something along the lines of love.
