"Doing a Lionel" means to drive round a corner in such a vigorous way that a wheel comes off. Derives from Lionel Richie's appearance on Top Gear, after which Jeremy Clarkson referred to several celebrities who suffered similar accidents as "doing a Lionel".

"I hit the kerb and did a Lionel."

When one fails to quickly get his shit together and leave a place on time, together with other people. Often leaving people to wait for a long... long time.
