Desire, sexual attraction, or intense feelings of love towards a fictional character, similar in strength and application of those felt towards real people.

Fictophiles rare experience fictophilia exclusively while being unable to connect with real people, but often fictophilic desires persist even when the person is in a serious real life relationship.

After realising she judged every relationship by how much like Hermione Granger her girlfriends were, Jane came to suspect she might meet the criteria for fictophilia.

Filliophilia 

- An extreme love, sexual attraction, and desire to marry, date, and have sex with Nathan Fillion. (Not specifically in that order.)

-This is common in women who watch or have seen the shows Castle, Firefly, One Life To Live, Season 4 of Desperate Housewives, or any other number of Nathan Fillion’s works.

Symptoms Include:
- Reoccurring sexual thoughts about Nathan Fillion
- Drooling due to an extreme exposure of sexiness
- Feeling the need to watch and rewatch anything that involves Nathan Fillion at all
- Uncontrollable daydreaming about Nathan Fillion
- Spontaneous squealing at attractive photos of Nathan Fillion
- An abnormal (and in some cases unhealthy) desire to meet, or be in the same room as, Nathan Fillion

Fictophelia 

Fictophelia is an actual condition often used to describe the physical attraction to an animated fictional character, most common in Japanese anime and manga. Many hardcore fictophiliacs are often known as an otaku.

Just because you think Roy Mustang is a sex muffin and Edward Elric is a freaking sex god doesn't mean you have to touch yourself every time you hear their names, you facking fictopheliac!

A paraphilia which causes the person with it to feel romantic or sexual attraction to fictional characters the same way as a person would normally feel those things to a real person. This paraphilia can be preferential, primary, or exclusive.
