nerd-flushing is when you insert a cultural, social or scientific reference into a confirmation such that geeks, operating amongst the mundanes, feel obliged to acknowledge, thereby blowing their cover.

nerd-flushing usage: "She totally nerd-flushed me with that miniature giant space hamster reference."

When a nerdy guy likes a hot chick and is always hooking her up with fancy IT stuff.

"How did you get the full version of Angry Birds on your phone?"

"The IT guy at my work put it on there for me, he's always getting me apps and music."

"Is he cute?"

"Nah, but he gets me nice stuff"

"Looks like you got yourself a Sugar Nerd!"

Game Nerd

A person who plays video games A LOT. Usually they have no job, live with their parents, and spend the majority of the time playing it.

A lot of Game Nerds try to change the definition of the word 'game nerd' to someone who knows a lot about videos games, but they are just embarassed to embrace the fact that their only hobby is clicking buttons.

One of the biggest game nerds I know is named jose.

Person: Hey, wanna play foot ball?

Game Nerd: NOOOO, I ALMOST HAVE A SPY PLANE ON BLACK OPS.

Person: No life game nerd.
