Friend Zone

A friendly type of "rejection" when one is attempting to cultivate a romantic relationship with another. The person will call you a "brother" or a "friend," and say they can't feel anything but platonic energy with you. Usually this happens to men who pursue a woman they're attracted to...but it generally can happen to anybody.

So, this is what he said last night: "I love that I can talk to you about anything. You're not like other women. I could never say this to(insert love interest's name here). But you...you're just like one of the guys. A real friend, you know?" Six months of pursuing this guy, only to be...accepted...into the friend zone.

Best Friends are the people who you can always rely on, no matter what. They see you at your worst, and they see you at your best- but always stay loyal to you, and vice versa. Not matter what happens, not matter what you've been through, best friends will always like you for who you are.

A calm friend who you can rely on, usually an older member of your friendgroup
Usually called "Mom" or "Mother" as a nickname by younger members of the group

Toni: "Have you seen cait? I need comforting from our mom friend"
Beth: "No I'm sorry, I am also searching for mother"
