Poor You

Giving fake sympathy to someone who is full of self pity / playing the victim role / wants attention (they are whinging/whining over nothing usually) - but really you just want to tell them to shut the fuck up!

Someone who likes to share their misery 24/7 with everyone in order to get sympathy (for example on facebook) - 'So fed up I slumped on my bed while nobody cares :o(' (OH POOR YOU!!)

When someone is telling one of those really long 'isn't it so weird when' stories, and no one can identify, and they go to one person in the group desperately and say, "You get it, right?'

Molly: Yeah, like, it's so weird when you're in the hot tub and you're looking up at the stars and you think, 'Hey, I could die right now, my grandma could be dead right now and I wouldn't even know.'
