When Lauren was a small child (and as a grown child) she had a speech impediment that made her struggle with pronouncing her L's and R's, which make up almost her entire name. Woan is what was Lauren had to tell people her name was because she couldn't pronounce her real name. Woan is an embodiment that she still represents to this day with her "special" demeanor.
